Welcome to our FAQ Expertise & Dendrology.

Who is the Expertise & Dendrology service for?
Our Tree Expertise & Dendrology service is designed for anyone seeking to effectively preserve their tree heritage, whether it's a single tree or a large park, and whether you're an individual or a community. We're here to support you in the sustainable management of this green legacy by identifying diseases and assessing the vigor and structural health of the trees. Thanks to our expertise and passion, we can provide you with tailored recommendations and advice, adapted to the scale of a single tree, a site, or a region, through a detailed management plan
What is the diagnostic process?
At ARFOLIA, our approach is progressive. We begin with visual and auditory observations (using a mallet) and then move on to more in-depth analyses. If there is any doubt, and depending on the results observed during the initial assessment, we recommend conducting a thorough diagnostic to determine the condition and potential hazard of the area. Appropriate work recommendations will then be formulated accordingly.
Who can diagnose a tree?
At ARFOLIA, our team of experts specializing in tree heritage is comprised of qualified professionals. They hold degrees such as landscape engineer, and specialized certificates in ornamental tree management and forestry. With over 10 years of experience, our ornamental arboriculture specialists conduct thorough visual and phytosanitary assessments and develop management plans tailored to horticultural and forest tree heritage. They also study tree species adapted to urban environments and contribute to reducing urban heat islands (UHIs). Thanks to their expertise in dendrology, they accurately assess the health of trees. Our specialists are independent, guaranteeing complete impartiality and freedom from any conflict of interest.
What types of diagnostics do you offer?
We offer different types of diagnostics to assess the condition of your trees; we start with visual and acoustic diagnostics, which we supplement, if necessary, with more in-depth diagnostics such as resistography, tomography, and traction tests.
What is a management plan and how much time should be allocated for the creation of a management plan?
A management plan is a technical and budgetary program outlining the work to be carried out on a tree stock. The time required for its implementation depends on the number of trees to be managed. At ARFOLIA, we are committed to working efficiently and transparently to meet agreed deadlines while ensuring optimal service quality. We are able to provide time estimates for each project from the outset of the implementation process.
How can I get an estimate for a management plan?
To obtain a quote for a management plan project, you can contact our team by filling out the contact form on our website or by calling us directly. We would be happy to discuss your project and provide you with a detailed estimate, taking into account your specific needs and requirements. Our team of experienced professionals can also advise you on the most suitable options for your project.
I think my tree is sick, what should I do?

If you think your tree is diseased, we advise you to make an appointment with us without delay to carry out an initial diagnosis.

It is important to note that the main risk associated with a diseased tree is falling, which can endanger people and surrounding property. Diseases can spread rapidly to other trees in your portfolio. At ARFOLIA, we understand that trees are living beings that can become diseased and require care. Therefore, we encourage you to monitor their progress and act quickly to prevent any contamination and ensure the sustainability of your tree stock.

I would like to estimate the damage caused to my tree as a result of construction work or other reasons

If you wish to assess the damage caused to your tree as a result of work or other activities, please contact our team.

At ARFOLIA, we have specific assessment scales that allow us to objectively evaluate the value of your tree based on the damage it has sustained. We offer our expertise to help you assess the damage and take the necessary steps to preserve your trees.
