Trees are silent witnesses to the passage of time. They have a history, a personality, and a sensitivity all their own. Like all living things, trees grow, evolve, age, and can suffer from disease. They need our attention and care to preserve their health and longevity.
At ARFOLIA, we are passionate about our tree heritage and dedicated to its preservation. We firmly believe that every tree is unique and deserves to be treated with the utmost respect and care. For beyond their beauty and majesty, trees are a precious legacy for future generations.
That is why our team of highly qualified specialists puts all its expertise and know-how into ensuring the sustainability and safety of the tree heritage of communities and individuals.

Tree management is a sustainable approach that addresses the social, economic, environmental, and landscape challenges of our time. It plays a crucial role in creating ecological niches and preserving biodiversity by promoting coexistence between different plant and animal species. Trees provide essential ecosystem services such as oxygen production, carbon dioxide absorption, and temperature regulation. They offer social and aesthetic benefits that contribute to the visual identity of a place.
Managing our tree heritage is essential for preserving these trees and ensuring their sustainable management. At ARFOLIA, we are committed to preserving and enhancing this arboreal heritage through a systemic approach that guarantees the safety and longevity of the trees. In a context where the effects of climate change are intensifying, greening urban centers in a coherent and sustainable way is a necessity.
Our greening projects incorporate multifunctional green spaces that offer refreshing shade in summer and provide relaxation areas for residents. We are proud to contribute to a more sustainable and nature-friendly urban environment, to participate in improving everyone's quality of life, and to be able to preserve remarkable trees.

The inventory
To comprehensively identify all the tree species present, to understand their characteristics and to monitor their evolution over time.
- Mapping of tree heritage
- ICA (Cantonal Tree Inventory) surveys / Dendrological inventories
-
The management plan
To plan long-term interventions for securing, maintaining and renewing tree stock by planning the necessary technical and financial resources.
- Maintenance recommendations
- Interview planning
- Definition of renewals
The diagnosis
To provide accurate information on the state of the tree heritage, taking into account various aspects such as age, health, diseases, mechanical risks, financial or compensatory value.
- Visual diagnosis
- In-depth diagnosis
- Estimation of the compensatory value

As landscape architects, our mission is to design outdoor spaces that integrate harmoniously with their natural and human environment. In today's context of intensifying climate change, it is crucial to implement coherent and sustainable greening strategies. At ARFOLIA, we are committed to promoting biodiversity in natural areas and supporting nature in the city. This allows us to develop urban canopies, mitigate the effects of urban heat islands (UHIs), and design urban cool islands (UCIs).
- ICU diagnosis and recommendations
- Vegetation plans at the scale of a site or territory
- Landscaping of green spaces
- Improvement of the urban atmosphere and living environment
- Selection of tree species adapted to the territorial context in the context of climate change (through statistical modeling)
- Creation of urban cool islands (UCI)
- Supporting biodiversity

technologies serving the environment
New technologies serving the environment
We are equipped with the latest cutting-edge technologies for conducting topographic surveys, such as terrestrial and aerial LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), a remote sensing system that uses lasers to measure the distance between an object and a sensor. This allows us to obtain precise data on topography, vegetation, and other terrain features. This technology enables us to produce highly accurate digital models of the site, providing precise height and positioning data.
We also use geographic information systems (GIS) for spatial data analysis and the creation of detailed maps of the study area. This mapping allows us to have an up-to-date overview of the ecological and environmental characteristics of the area, in order to better understand the environmental and social issues facing the territory.
By working closely with complementary partners, particularly in ecology and urban planning, we are able to provide tailor-made tools for each territory, taking into account specific challenges.
